Does Single Touch Payroll affect you?

The bill to extend Single Touch Payroll (STP) for small employers with less than 19 employees, was passed by the Senate in December.
It was referred back with minor amendments, and is due to be heard when parliament resumes 12 February.
STP for small employers with 19 or less is expected to start 1 July 2019.

The ATO will be contacting small employers that already use payroll software from 29 January.
They will inform you that you don’t have to wait for the STP legislation to pass, you can start processing now.

For small employers who do not have electronic payroll, there will be payroll solutions available costing $10 or less per month.

If you require help to get your payroll software ready for STP, or require to put in place electronic payroll, then please give us a call.
